Come along to our August meeting when our Guest Speaker will be Dr. Franciscus Scheelings who will be telling us about the monitoring of turtles in the Parklands.  Should be an interesting evening.

Join the Rangers for a walk in the Parklands to see the animals that emerge after dark.  This session is for adults only.  Meet at the Gleeson Centre.

Black Snake Productions will come to inform us about snake safety and show us some of the snakes that we might encounter in Melbourne parks.  Actual time to be confirmed nearer the day.

For the last time, Alphington and Fairfield Civic Association are holding the Music from the Wetlands celebration. This free, volunteer run event brings families and the community together with bands and musicians playing throughout the day, opening with a music march led by Havana Palava through the parklands to the Festival site. Come along to our end of year BBQ (vegetarian options too).  Weather permitting outside the Gleeson Centre, but note the earlier time.  Always a fun night to end the year and talk to other members.
